Auto bilge switch Shenanigans

I just remembered this and it made me laugh, thought I'd pass it along because I'm sure it's happened to more than one person:

Last summer I replaced my bilge pump and added one with an automatic float switch. After a couple hours fishing and a little swimming with the kids we went back to the ramp, it's pretty narrow, two lanes with no divider. I used the left ramp, loaded the boat on the trailer, gave a friendly hello to the people loading up next to me, hopped in the truck and pulled up the ramp. Evidently I didn't realize how much water was in the hull but it all rushed back, flipped on the bilge and shot the people next to me with a pretty good stream. Thankfully they had a sense of humor.

Was already out of the ramp on the street. All of a sudden I hear a kid yell 'Heh! Your boat just pee'd on me!'

Float switch must have been stuck down then hit a bump and turned it on...gave me a chuckle.

quite funny i can see some one getting hurt that way like you, if you did it to the wrong person. 2 weeks ago i went out for fireworks and while i was out there this boat next to me had an auto bilge and it kept kicking on every few miniutes and running just as long at first i thought people were peeing off the boat it was dark but we drifted closer and it was there bilge pump for 2 hours it spent maybe an hour and half on
