Re: augsail
I have a 12' butterfly sailboat. I am in the learning stage of sailing and having fun on this little boat. I would like make a extension on the tiller handle for ease of control. Would anyone be able to help me out on this item.
The common thing to do is pick up a tiller extension at your friendly neighborhood sailboat shop.
They come in different lengths or an adjustable model. Shop around and you can often find an aluminum type for about $30.
You can also fashion your own from things like an old golf club shaft or pool cue and attach it using one of the universals available.
Google: Defender Marine, Annapolis Performance Sailing (APS), West Marine (a bit pricy), Layline Marine, Jamestown Distributors, or just "sailboat parts" then search on "tiller extensions".
