Atwood float switch issue

Hello boaters,
I have a question regarding bilge pump, ive got Atwood bilge pump with float switch but it doesnt work at all, when i pull it by hand it works but the water doesnt engage it... Looks like water doesnt have enough force to raise it, do you think greasing the pivot points can help ??

The float should move freely without grease. Is the float mounted level? Is the water level and float raised as high as when you manually raise it and turns the pump on?
