Can we have a 'sticky' here with a link to a list of serial number and model years?
It seems like we get a few questions a day " what year is my motor?"
There must be a non-selling site with a list of serial number/year.

OK, so I did a search on the forum's main "FAQ" and came up with Zero results for "sticky".

Would you care to enlighten us on the process by which a posting is nominated for "sticky" status?

What you suggest seems reasonable to me, but I am not a Mercspert and don't have the info you want stuck.

The answer is not "no", you just have to ask the right people in the right channel.

OK, I'll bite. Who is the right people and what channel to ask? Without giving a direct answer on WHO to contact, this is going no where.

By "competitive site" do you mean "selling" or can they just be selling different stuff than iboats? Like OLD Merc parts.


Now, Who else has good links to serial number/model year information.

I'm no expert on old Mercs, but I'll write the thread, maybe post it here for proof reading by you guys and then start a new thread.
