Applebee?s supporting our military. Please pass this on.

In recognition of your service to our country, all veterans and active duty military personnel are invited to eat free at Applebee?s Neighborhood Grill & Bar Restaurants this Veterans Day, Wednesday, Nov. 11, 2009.

As you may recall, Applebee?s launched a pilot program last year on Veterans Day offering free entrees to military service personnel and veterans. Because the response was so overwhelmingly positive, Applebee?s is extending the invitation throughout the country this year.

We would appreciate your help in spreading the word. Please help us share details across your various communication channels.

All U.S. veterans and active duty military with proof of current or former military service will eat free at all Applebee?s nationwide on Veterans Day, Wednesday, Nov. 11, 2009.

Proof of service includes: U.S. Uniform Services Identification Card, U.S. Uniform Services Retired Identification Card, Current Leave and Earnings Statement, Veterans Organization Card, photograph in uniform or wearing uniform.

I'm surprised that they don't list a DD214 as suitable proof of service.

I'm not a huge Applebee's fan, but I might give it a go.

I'd wear my Dress Blues for a Steak but I think I'd pop all 13 buttons on the Bell Bottoms and my navel would show ....

Heard Applebee's has great baby back ribs. I dig baby back ribs. So does my wife. I sing a song titled "Baby Back Ribs". Got a line that says,"She just loves to gnaw on, them ole bones."

Wow! I didn't know that and I will certainly take advantage of it! I think I'll find out if Lowes does too, because I prefer Lowes.

Lowes gives a 15% discount year round if you have a military ID and ask for it.

Here in central Pennsylvania Lowes gives military discount of 10% year round.

Home Depot 10% only during week of Nov 11th.

Home Depot advertises their discount at the stores starting next week. Lowes all you have to do is ask for it at the register and show ID.

I don't know what all ID's they take since I only have used my retired ID.

They Were Packed To Day At 1100 Am, Nice To See So Many Wwii Vets And Viet Vets Out For Lunch, Applebees Did Ok Too, Paid 28 For 2 For Lunch, 2 Hamburgers One Was Free.

My girlfriend and I went to Applebees for dinner tonight. It was definitely packed and you could hear a lot of war stories being told. LOL

Shared a table at Applebee's for lunch with 2 Nam vets and a WWII vet. My war was Korea, so we covered a lot of history.

Lordy those men make me so proud to be an American.
