Guess what?? They changed the rules AGAIN. In 2007 the law was under age 6: must wear a pfd at all times. Now in 2008 it is under age 13: must wear a pfd at all times. The marine patrol was nice enough to explain this yet to be published rule, and only charged me $50 for the priviledge of watching my 12 year old put on a pfd at our local pond. Oh...just go the website if you want details he said...we have not published a rule book for 2008 yet.

Yes, they have been enforcing this new rule. It has been advertised and well discussed on the Winnipesaukee forum, but still many don't know.

Tickets, especially in situations where the law is unclear, unannounced or petty are Government sponsored theft

I would take it to court. If it has not been published or heavily publicized in another way, you will probably get a dismissal.
