At the boat need help fast. Trim motor.

I'm replacing trim motor for 2002 merc 50hp. Do I need to remove the (metal) screw at the bottom of the trim motor to refill the oil, or can I refill through the plastic screw at the top of the trim motor. Bottom screw will not break loose.
