1984 Johnson 75hp 3 cyl....J75TLCRD
I put on new throttle and shift cables. When shifting from forward back to neutral my idle is super high. I have to manualy use my hand and push back the idle at the motor. My fast idle lever is getting worse and worse, meaning it doesnt advance my throttle any more at all. 2 weeks ago it did. The movement of the throttle forward and reverse isn't like it was a year ago and I use the boat 5x a week.
What parts should I change in the remote control to make it like new? Kinda like changing the bushings on the front end of your truck for a "smoother and quieter" ride with better handling...make sense?
If anyone knows where I can pick up a factory new one I would do that.
