Asking for some prayers ..

I am here today asking a favor of our wonderful Iboats community ..
I have a very dear friend and co-worker that was hurt very badly doing the thing that he loves the most . He rides bulls professionally on his days off. He was thrown and trampled and has spinal cord injury's . He is married and is an accomplished musician and singer . He was put into an induced coma for a while to help ease the swelling . I pray that somehow someway he may walk and function normally . He is very strong willed and a fighter so I know he will do anything to overcome this setback .
I know god does perform miracles and with our prayers and support I know Chad will overcome this !

I'll send him and his family my prayers and hope for a speedy recovery without any complication... God does answer prayers, I am a true believer in that!

Sorry to hear, hope he makes a recovery.. I have a good friend that was seriously injured in an ATV roll over, back injury's are dicey.. and although there was too much damage to his spinal cord to repair, and he is in a wheel chair now, that does NOT stop him one bit. Hell, he still rides his atv and snowmobile! Blows my mind.. If your friend is as strong willed as mine, i'm sure he will pull through, no mater what.

Funny story . Chad wanted to give surfing a try ! So We were having a pretty nice swell down here left overs from hurricane Lee . Took him a while to make it out past the break . I was keeping my eye out for him .I didn't want him to drown or anything . He was having a blast and getting thrown all over when he tried taking off . Not sure if he ever stood up . He finally paddled over next to me and said "this ain't bull riden but it sure is fun " Grinning ear to ear ! Then another set came in and over the falls he went ! :lol:

Sam, I am very sorry to hear about Chad. It is times like these that we all need to pull together in prayer..

My Family will definitely be praying for Chad to heal swiftly from his injuries.
Only the Good Lord knows why these things happen and only He will determine the outcome.

Sam, we too well be praying here in Missouri. The Captain and I have a nephew up in Nebraska and one here at home that bull ride professionally an I know now important it is to them and how dangerous it can be.

Again, we will be thinking of you, Chad, his family, and other friends that the good Lord blesses him with a speedy and full recovery!

It's times like this that we have the opportunity to not only hope for the best for your friend, Chad, but also put our own petty inconveniences out of our heads. We often worry about the silliest things like whether our decks are level or where we will find enough cash to get through the last half of our restore or if our motor can be fixed. Then we hear of a tragic accident like this, but at least serves the purpose of reminding us what really matters. Sincere thoughts.....

Sam, Here's hoping Chad is able to make a full recovery. He has a long road ahead of him but it sounds like he has the right attitude. :thumb: At least in the artificial coma he won't be in any discomfort. Best of luck with him,

Just got word that Chad is doing better . He has been out of the induced coma for a few days now . He still can't move from the neck down but he is breathing on his own and has had some slight twitching from his shoulders . They moved him today from Orlando to a rehab that specializes in spinal injury's in Atlanta .

Sam,
That's great news that he can breathe on his own and won't have to be on a ventilator!! Like I said before he has a long road ahead of him but it's a very good sign that his brain and nerves are starting to regenerate so soon.
