I have had a few students over the years that would ask question after question, then while you are answering, you can see the wheels turning, formulating the next question, not even listening to the first answer.....
It occurred to me one time what they are doing: entertaining themselves. and/or hoping they will reach the end of your brain - where you'll finally say "I don't know"
The next time they ask a question, my first answer is "sorry, I don't know"
But if they ever get to a teacher with low self-esteem, they can run them squirelly, trying to find them a million answers.
I just have to be careful that I don't mis-identify a student that legitimately learns by asking a lot of questions.
But these forums certainly can attract them...
