I recently bought a used " Vortec intake and 4bbl carb and a set of Rebuilt Vortec heads off of e-bay to up grade my 1990 4.3l 2bbl to a Vortec 4bbl and net some much needed HP, well after reciving all items in the mail this week, last night i tore the motor down to the block, today installed heads, set valves,rockers,laid down intake gaskets, ran my bead of RTV front and rear, grab new intake to drop on heads and guess what??? This POS is a non-vortec intake manifold with the 12 bolt holes instead of the 8 of the vortec!!! ARRRGH I am pissed! anyone have a elderbrock 2114 lying around you would like to part with? I was supposed to leave to go camping/boating next week, but guess thats off till i get the boat back together
