History Lesson: A long time ago, within the family we started doing what we named the "color cruise" all the family members with nineteens of all different colors would get together and take a trip somewhere.
This year we are talking about doing it a little bit different. Instead of a trip somewhere we are going to just make a day cruise out of it on Lake Lanier. Our date book will be Late october, when the leaves are starting to change color, so we will have a pretty ride. Our plan is to meet at Mary Alice Park on the south side of the Lake in the morning, and cruise to the south, then east of lanier islands, under the bridge, north all the way to gainesville marina where we will have lunch, then make the return trip back down the west side of the lake. Should take about 1.5 hours each way of riding, then lunch. so not too long of a day, and everyone can explore the lake afterwards. Should be a nice liesurly cruise, and smooth that time of year. When we nail down the final date I will post it ASAP so anyone intersted can plan. There should be 3 boats or so from the family, then a few more local nineteens that i can immediately think of. Just wanted to throw this out there so you all can be thinking about it.
Take care.
