My 1974 Merc 650 has intermittent problems where it just quits running suddenly. I can usually get it going if I shove the throttle all the way forward and back a couple of times before starting again. I have been told that I likely have a bad trigger.<br /><br />A friend has a 1972 or 1975 Merc 50 horse engine with a burned up upper end. I am hoping that I can use his trigger in my motor. His engine is a four cylinder, mine is a three. <br /><br />Can anybody tell me if these parts are interchangable?<br /><br />Thanks.
