It looks like they are piezo type and they don't take hardly any power to run which is great for my outboard powered rig. I'm concerned they won't have the output necessary to warn suicidal jet skiers.

says the output is 106-108 db which another internet site says is equivalent to a power mower at 3 feet. So I'd say it would have to be louder to overcome the noise from the running jetski.

Pain begins at 125 db, so I'd shoot for something in the 115 range which they say is equivalent to a loud rock concert. A gun blast is 140 db.

I tested those a couple of years ago. Very high-pitched, irritating tone. Even my Aqua-Signal rep said I wasn't going to like the sound...but then, that maybe what you're looking for...
