Are parts interchangeable

I am currently working on a 76 mercury 850 it needs a new trigger assembly. I found a 1983 mercury classic 50 parts motor. My question is are the parts of these motors interchangeable. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

No the trigger will not interchange nor any other mechanical parts..a few electrical part will but not worth buying for parts
