Are charity posts "illegal"

Not sure what the rules are? Can we not post info about charities? As an example, my friend is doing one of those 100k bike ride things for tour de cure, and is raising cash. <br /><br />But, don't know if that is out of bounds... so, I won't post any links... for now <br /><br />Sean

Sean, everyday I get hit with at least a dozen requests for charity, I come here to get away from that stuff. Not trying to be a scrooge, I put in a lot of time and cash into my charities, but don't think this should turn into a charity solicitation board. Just my opinion Chief

Solicitation for donations or gifts is not allowed, eeboater.<br /><br />As we have no way of verifying that a solicitation is for a valid charity, we don't accept any.<br /><br />Good luck to your friend.
