Are all outboard remote connections the same?

Hi Guys

I have a quick question will the remotes i.e. steering and throttle cables remotes from a Chrysler fit onto a Johnson outboard engine? Are they the same or different connections?

Steering cable will change over.The control cables on all outboard/IO are different.US Marine/Bayliner used the same control cable on a lot of boats but most use theire own cable.J
