Hi guys, I have a 1980 Merc 20HP. Lower unit was water damaged, bearings are rusted like in pic.
I’m thinking to find a complete lower unit and replace the whole because when I took the LU apart, the bearing carrier cover nut was corroded and damaged but it seemed nowhere to find a replacement part.
So should I look for a 80’ motor or any motor between 73-80 would work since I find they share the same parts.
