aqad 40 horsepower settings

I,m still researching this grew 25ft with the volvo diesel in it,.
The boat is an estate sale, the son has no midea of horsepower setting etc,.
I,ve read so far is can be from 135hp to 200?hp either an AQAD "A" or "B" engine, with a volvo 280 leg. sometimes also called a TMD 40
Is it a matter of fuel rack settings? I,m wonderng if i buy it, can i turn it up for more power?
Any links to more info or sites greatly appreciated.

Why don't you just ask the seller if it's a AQD or an AQAD, and if it's an A or B version. Or get the SN of the engine and post it. It's on a brass tag near the fuel injection pump. Then, you won't have to waste all the time doing needless searches and research. You will know what it is.

To answer your question, No, you can't just adjust it to make it faster.
