aq145a overheat problem

hi, i have a pair of volvo?s aq 145A and one is having a problem on the heat exchanger . after a normal warm up, i throttle up to cruising speed, and suddenly the refill cup begins to release a steam and after a while there?s no sign of coolant water on the reservoir. looks like was boiled and dryed.
any suggestion ?

When was the last time the raw water pump impellers were replaced? That would be the FIRST place to look.

the raw water impeller is ok. the problem apears to be into the closed water circuit. inside the heat exchanger.
there?s any way to clean o purge the sistem?

Ayuh,....

Pull the Heat Exchanger,+ bring it to a Radiator Shop,...
They'll disassemble,+ Clean it....

the raw water impeller is ok.

How was this diagnosed,..??

What is the temp gauge saying when it starts to blow the AF out of the cap? If you don't have a good flow of raw water flowing thru the heat exchanger to cool down the antifreeze, it will overheat and do exactly what you are saying.

ok today i went tomy boat to chek out the impeller and i found water on the oil, and the water whit coolant added missing .,
I refillit agin, start the engine and in order to check the impeller, i just remove the raw water cup(the one whit the plastic filter) and the water flows with pressuer enough to let the water spills away. but removing the coolant cup away something like exaust smoke comes out from inside.
what will be the problem? maybe the cylinders head gasket burned?

Ayuh,... That would be My Guess...

Drain it,+ Pressure Test it...
