Appropriate Wiring

I am installing a 1980 35hp Johnson motor on my boat. The wiring harness is on the motor.<br />In addition to the two battery leads, there are two smaller wire leads from the ignition switch. Where should these two smaller leads be connected? dmackenna@aol.com

Hi dmackenna:<br /><br />You should have atleast 5 wires from engine to control.<br /><br />>battery positive<br />>battery negative<br />>choke<br />>starter solenoid<br />>ignition kill<br /><br />Are you missing one?<br />Is this the wiring in question?<br /><br />hope this helps?
