I would like to apologize to my cyber friends here
and the great mods that make this such a great place.

Yesterday I started a thread that was insulting to
all of you.

I let my emotions get the best of me, instead of
walking away from the computer I posted.

My lady of almost 7 yrs. was born and raised in
W.V. The tragedy there is especially important to us.
I thought "everyone" should feel as we do. That was
just plain wrong and STUPID.

I hope you all will accept my humple apologies.
What a way to celebrate my new rank.:(

Deck Swabber..... I think we all do it.... I read that thread, and when there is a connect like that, emotions sometime get the best of us....

I'm from a family with a history in coal mining and so is the Mrs.' family. Hard not to get over emotional when you've felt the same in the past when it was close to home.

I read your post and wasn't at all offended by it. I think we all understand what you were trying to say. It just came out a little harsh. We all need a reality check once in a while.

Takes a moment of emotion to post things like that and it takes a strong person to apologise like this.
It happens my friend. You have lost no respect from me.

Re: Apologies

Fully accepted by your friends here and we understand. We all hope that things settle down for you and your lady friend :)

I am sure you would have caught worse on the homefront if you were not passionate about it.

Re: Apologies

No worries bud. Sometimes we, errr...I get passionate about something I come across and the emotions start to going , along with an increase in blood pressure. Then the brain has to to a little balancing act between reacting in a passionate/ concerned vs. crude/ insulting way.

I for one was not insulted, BTW.

Re: Apologies

I think you meant well, my wife's father and his father were both in the #9 mine many years ago when it exploded, they were lucky and survived. Prayers out to the families of those miners.
