October 31 90 years ago was the last successful cavalry charge in military history.
The ANZAC cavalry corps attacked the turkish forces holding the desert city of Beer Sheva. Charging through a storm of cannon fire, suffering heavy losses the down under guys pulled it off for the last time in military history.
This week their descendants came back,50 of them and they re-enacted this 4 day desert trek culminating in a cavalry charge into the modern city of Beer Sheva.
