If you have one I would sure love a good picture of the throttle cable bracket, specifically how and where it mounts to the carb and or rear manifold carb flange studs.
Re: Anyone with a Merc 302/351 factory 4 bbl carb?
Ya gonna need someone with either 225 or 255. Its rare to find a 225 but a few 255's are still out there in the fresh water lakes and rivers. The last year they produced them was 76.

Re: Anyone with a Merc 302/351 factory 4 bbl carb?
I have a 351 motor from basicpower, with a 4b holley, which I used to replace a 1975 mercruiser model 233- a 351 with rochester 2b. I get a chance tomorrow I'll take a pic for you. A piece of steel bent 90 degrees is how I made my throttle cable bracket. Not pretty but it works. Used existing threaded holes on the intake to bolt the steel bracket to.
Thanks for posting the pics Ron. Nice, simple solution. I had to do the same for my Gulfstream 4 bbl conversion. When I stuck an Edelbrock intake on it the OMC factory manifold mounted bracket no longer fit.
For my Beachcraft 4 bbl conversion, I just have a fetish to make things look factory if at all possible. Once I saw that Merc made manifold carb stud bracket arms, I had to follow my fetish.
