If you have one I would sure love a good picture of the throttle cable bracket, specifically how and where it mounts to the carb and or rear manifold carb flange studs.

Ya gonna need someone with either 225 or 255. Its rare to find a 225 but a few 255's are still out there in the fresh water lakes and rivers. The last year they produced them was 76.

That certainly splains it Capt K. Thanks, I'll be sure to squint a little harder.8)

I have a 351 motor from basicpower, with a 4b holley, which I used to replace a 1975 mercruiser model 233- a 351 with rochester 2b. I get a chance tomorrow I'll take a pic for you. A piece of steel bent 90 degrees is how I made my throttle cable bracket. Not pretty but it works. Used existing threaded holes on the intake to bolt the steel bracket to.

Boomyal got himself 1 that mounts to the 2 rear Carb Studs,...........

Over on "Bondo's Junk Motor" thread.......
Reel Poor has a Junker with the Factory Bracket on it......

That looks like a possibly Better alternative to Where We were going before PR came thru for him......

Thanks for posting the pics Ron. Nice, simple solution. I had to do the same for my Gulfstream 4 bbl conversion. When I stuck an Edelbrock intake on it the OMC factory manifold mounted bracket no longer fit.

For my Beachcraft 4 bbl conversion, I just have a fetish to make things look factory if at all possible. Once I saw that Merc made manifold carb stud bracket arms, I had to follow my fetish.:p
