Hi guys,

I was going to try and rebuild the carbs on my '89 Yamaha 90hp OB. The lowest cylinder doesn't seem to be getting gas since the spark plug is clean as new all the time. Granted, I've never run this motor off the motor stand as I bought it used, but nonetheless I don't think it would hurt to rebuild them and try.

Any of you OB Tech guys want to take it on for some money. I would take them off and sent them to you.

Let me know.

Thanks,

John

Half the job of a good carb repair is the checkover of the motor, the adjustment of the oil injector (if equipped), the synchronization of the linkage and throttle plates, idle timing, idle speed, carb needle adjustment, and thermostat operation. That can't be done by sending carbs to someone by mail. Find a local QUALIFIED tech to do the complete service or call Yamaha customer service for a recommended dealer.

Because you bought it used and haven't run this motor, you should have the tech check it over from top to bottom.
