Anyone know what year this motor is?

I am thinking of buying this motor (boat and trailer also). I have only seen photos so far. The seller has no idea on the year of the motor, it belonged to her father. It is a Mercury 7.5 Thunderbolt. Anyone know what year this may be by looking at the cowling and graphics?

its mid 80's from the cowling design. See if they can take a picture or send you the serial number, then we can get you an exact year.

From looking online at other motors like it i think it is a 1982.
