I was taking a bunch of junk from the old barn to the dump and I found this in the load. Written on the bottom is. .................H.S.CO....................<br />...............NICKEL SILVER B.M.M.............<br />...................LOUIS XIV...................<br />.....................10,000......................<br /> It is about 2 3/8" tall and 2 3/4" across and the opening is 1 1/2" dia.<br />

Actually, it's a custom made chamber pot , circa 1700's for the little known step child of Marie de Vichy Chamrond- Marquise du Deffand. In todays market, it would go for 2.39 at auction.

It was just a shot in the dark,I havn't a clue'but it does look like part of something broken apart,like a bed post
