Re: Anyone know anything about VIP boats?
...dont know much about the manufacturer. What can you tell me?...
VIP no longer exists, but that doesn't reall matter. At this age - it is all about the care and maintenance that the boat recieved. Is interior clean and in good shape? Are the hull, transom and deck all solid?
4.3 with a genII drive - good combo, but again - haw has it been taken care of. In 95 there were two version of the 4.3(2bbl and 4bbl) rated at 155/175hp AT THE PROP and they as fast as the 5.0's at that time. A little slower out of the hole, but not by much. Manuals for both the engine and drive are available in the DIY thread over in the I/O forum along with alot of knowledgeable people.
Have you water tested it?
