Anyone, how is the 2002 Merc 25hp 2 stroke?

anyone got it or heard anything about it? a dealer in my area has them for like 1900 bucks right now, sounds like a great deal for a new motor.

That engine has changed only a little in it's long run.That means that this motor has been proven reliable and has sold well.Not a bad choice if you do not have any two stroke issues in your area.

Hey Aaron, <br /><br />I've got a 1999 25 Merc and its a fine engine. I've used it a alot and it hasn't let me down yet. I use it year round for fishing and ferrying my son and me back and fourth to the deer camp just off the MS River. When and if this one ever puts me down I'll probably get another one.

cool, I'm lookin for a smaller rig when I don't want to take the 20 footer out. I think I'll buy a new 16 foot Polarkraft all welded semi vee jon and stick a merc 25 on it, boat motor, trailer, rigging, and tax should come to around 5600 or so, not a bad deal.
