Anyone fishing close to Melbourne, Fl??

I'v recently relocated to the Central Florida coast and could really use some help with lure, and rig combinations that work well for on the Indian River and the surf.

I grew up in Titusville and also lived on Merritt Island/Cuckoo Beach and this what I always used.

Indian river: Live shrimp under a float (2' to 3'), dead shrimp on the
bottom, plugs that dive, I use 10lb test line with suitable
rod and reel, sometimes wire leader but usually not, #2 hooks

Surf: cut bait, large sinkers, 30lb test, wire leader, surf rod/with accessories,
reel to match.

I live here in Melbourne Beach. The best i think is:




Indian river: Shrimp with a wieght only to get it out there. I catch redfish snook and trout with that, Mullet hooked on the underside with a leader are great to. A good lure is that Burkley Gulp hooked with a jig head.


Beach: Sandfleas work great for pompano and big ol spoons bout 4 inch are attracting bonefish
