Anyone fish on Stony Lake Ontario?

I heard this is the lake to fish.I have a 20 ft cuddy and am heading there in Sept.Any advice or experiences?Thanks.

I've not heard that Stony is particularly great to fish. I would head down to Rice Lake to fish.<br /><br />Think you would have better luck.<br /><br />If you come downstream from Rice Lake and get to Steam Mill Island, I'm the third cottage in...<br /><br />Joe

How are ya Joe?I had been on Rice lake last year at six foot bay resort and found it so weedy by motor kept bogging down also Very shallow,that is why I chose stony lake this year because it is 200 feet deep.Any thoughts appreciated.Gary

If you are worried about depth, cross over into the trent river at Hastings. There are plenty of good fishing spots.<br /><br />Although it does tend to be weedy, Not this year. I've got depths of 5 to 60 feet.<br /><br />I'm running a 17' boat so I don't require your draft though.<br /><br />If you are looking over nite on the cuddy, a popular spot is around steam mill island.<br /><br />If you are looking for a resort, try Terrace Lawn<br /> http://terracelawncottages.ca <br /><br />Any other info, let me know......
