I'm new to the area and have never fished on Lake Lanier. Where are some good spots to put in, to fish?
I'm not big into Bass fishing, probably because I just never did and don't know much about it.
I suspect there's a lot of joy riders out there. Would it be worth the extra time to travel to Alltoona or Oconee?
Lanier is 15 minutes.

Lanier is a good spot, but low water level too often. Oconee is very good.

Re: Anyone fish on Lake Lanier?

i guess i haven't ckd this forum in a long while! i haven't gotten to know lanier well yet, but did get out for some striper fishing with some other guys last week. we were trolling downlines with 5" herring, did fair not great. i believe the fishing reports listed the spotted bass are off the points in 12-15ft, and under the deeper boat docks. most are fishing the creek mouths on lower half, south of browns bridge. like 6mi, young deer, bald ridge... weekends are terrible, weekdays are fine, if you have some days off ;)
