Anyone Ever Modify a SC Splashwell?

My search for a suitable SC continues. Looking at several SS and Holidays and I just cannot get over how freakin' big the splashwell is on these boats. Whether its the splashwell or the doghouse, there just seems like a major waste of space at the transom of a SC. Anyone ever modify the splashwell on their SC?

Definitely don't do what this guy did Pretty nice restore with about 3 grand in electonics and gear on board but that transom is a recipe for disaster for boating on lake Ontario. Looks like it was a 18 Mariner, I run an very similar 18 center console Sylvan with the humungous splashwell, I wouldn't leave the dock on this.

May want to look at the thread did you have enough noodles --- or something like that that was posted yesterday.... eye opening to say the least.
