I bought a new 1972 ss160 for my first new boat. Overpowered it for skiing, what a great quality boat. Sold it for what I paid for it 2 years later in Tampa FL. They were one of the best brands back then.

Their overall reputation is outstanding. Same for subsequent brands built by same folks (Tiara and Pursuit -forgot others.)

Same outfit built the S2 sail line and same great reputation on them. I purchased a 1983 S2 6.9 sail boat dealer demo in 1984 and still love it. I have no intention of selling it due to its high quality and great performance.

Seems like these are one of the very few brands that consistently get great marks from their owners.

I bought my 28 in 1979 know them well. I had to enlarge the hole for the head discharge by 3/16 inch. took an hour with a rasp.

It has 454's BW 1 1/2 to 1 17x17 props. Kids learned to ski behind it. I used it as a tow, launch and charter boat for 20 years. still have it.

Hi Guys:

I'm the proud owner of a Slickcraft made under licence by Grew in Penetanguishine, Ontario, Canada. I have a 1976 SS215 powered by a Mercruiser 165 inline 6 cylinder 250 CID engine. I love it. It handles like a dream and is built like a tank. What did you want to know?
