Re: Anybody know how to fix a broke rod?
I've only ever broken one rod.
Wish I could be that lucky! I don't want to remember how many trunk lids and miss-placed footsteps have taken out rods, over the years!

I can only remember breaking two poles in the process of fishing. One, a Cabela's Pro Guide, broke while jigging, and over reacted to to a tick, which was actualy a solid snag.
The line had looped around the tip, and it was hanging on the line!

The other was a Bass Pro Shops rod (Bionic Blade?), which broke at the 2-piece ferrule. Again jigging, but this time it was trying to pull it out of the rocks. Bow and arrow method. I didn't think I had excess pressure on it, ie no more than a large smallie would provide. I did contact BPS, but it was out of warrantee, and that was that.

I was never really happy about any of my repair attempts. I would eventially end up with a new pole.
