1978 merc 1150 inline 6. Im going to clean mine up, check the connections and check the switch, but I think its going. right now Im getting a faint click, but its not pulling the choke assembly up. anybody know a way to check the switch? I guess I could jump the solenoid. mercruiserparts.com wants $115 for the solenoid, which is insane. anybody ever tried to rig another type of solenoid to pull the choke?<br /><br />Clams? whats the going rate for these things?
