Anybody ever own a Cutter {Early 60's}

I was going thru some old photo's and found this one of my old 1961 18 Ft Cutter with a 120 HP Chrysler inline 6. I guessing this about 1988 that my son there he just turned 27. I loved this boat not much of a interior but that O/B would push that boat to 55 mph, it ended up with a 100 Hp 67 Johnson after it sucked down the top piston, it still would do 50+ with that. I sold the boat in 89 after I was hurt bad in work { torn rotator cuff I was out of work for 2 years and couldn't do nothing}......I wish I still had it the fins were so cool looking it looked like a 59 caddy.........

Yes I do. It is a 14' not sure of the year though.<br /><br />

I've seen some like it, cool lines. Reminds me of an old 60's arrowglass I restored once.<br /><br />mrloring, good looking boat! <br /><br />How was your son's face after he hit the water in that shot??? Ouch!

My uncle had one. I think it was 16 or 17 feet. It had a 75 Johnson. I thought it was the coolest thing in the world.<br /><br />I tried to track it down a year or so ago. Thought it would be fun to restore it.

Your right about it turning heads, those fins were at least 18 inches high and the plain 2 bench molded in the fiberglass and a slat floor these boats were really light and fast.....
