The aluminum is pretty dull and grey. Do you guys have a technique of getting the metal to shine a little more? Am I crazy?

No, you're not crazy. Its no good if your boat doesn't shine!

"Aluminum Jelly" will take away the grey and make the boat look like new. A couplabucks, a couple hours and a little elbow grease is all it will take.

If you want a shine like a classic Feathercraft, then after you jelly it, hit is with some Mothers metal polish or Flitz and a power buffer and it'll look like its chrome plated. That will cost another 50 bucks or so, plus a zillion dollars in elbow grease.

^ Thanks for the quick response. Who sells this product? Where can it be found? Is there another similar product I can just pick up at Walmart? Sorry, I love Walmart.

I'm sure WalMart sells it, as any reputable hardware store. Naval Jelly is a common metal cleaner. The Aluminum version is formulated specifically for aluminum.

Its easiest to take the boat off the trailer and turn it over. I can clean the bottom that way in an hour. Use a scotch brite pad and then just hose it off. Be sure not to get any jelly on the trailer, it could ruin the paint.
