Any update on the e-mail issue?

Just wondering. Must be killing traffic. I know that iBoats is primarily a retail business, with a forum tagged on (which generates sales..from me at least) but it's been about a month since the email notifications went away.

I know it's harder for me to keep track of my OWN posts, let alone posts that I commented on. I've been through server upgrades at other forums, even one for a fishing newspaper / forum that changed ownership and the mods all defected because they didn't like the new owners...but even they had the email notifications back up and running within a week.

Just curious.

I suspect for most users this is not an issue. Certainly isn't for me.
There are numerous ways to focus on posts that have nothing to do with e-mail....top right of screen...."My Replies" as one example.

Try this.....

User CP

Then go to edit options which is in the settings and options section....... un-check the email boxes and exit then repeat and go back and re-check the boxes...... see if that fixes it...... it has for some.

Re: Any update on the e-mail issue?

While we are on the subject (can start a new thread if nec) am I understanding this correctly?

Seems that there are two different subjects under one control. One is to automatically subscribe to all posts started or contributed to AND whether or not to receive email from those subscriptions?

Default Thread Subscription Mode:

When you post a new thread, or reply to a topic, you can choose to automatically add that thread to your list of subscribed threads, with the option to receive email notification of new replies to that thread.

Choices
Do not subscribe -No email notification- Instant email notification -Daily email notification -Weekly email notification -

Can't you individually subscribe to a whole forum or a single post AND choose to get email notification from that forum or post?

No luck. Went and unchecked everything, logged out, closed browser, opened browser, logged in, rechecked everything. Lather, rinse, repeat. No luck :(

I choose no email notification, then just hit my user cp, it shows me all of the new responses to threads I subscribe too(all I reply to in my case)

You can subscribe and unsubscribe to any threads by clicking on thread tools.

OK...so as of this evening...the "My Replies" link under the "Private Messages" link in the welcome box is now gone.

Huh?
