I must have read fewer accidents or the study was twisting the stats. It is obvious that the rate is higher from both the stats you provided and personal experience. Too bad they don't have the registered qty. data next to all of those boat types . . . Thanks baymanOriginally posted by bayman:
You are right Quietcat, it can't be true. Here are some numbers:
I agree there, two days ago, the v8's towing jetski's, were racing through my local streets. We were in fairly heavy traffic, and these guy's were giving it everything they had. they were going up the emergancy stopping lane at over 100kph. The limit in the area we were driving is 70, and the way they passed us, we may as well have been standing still.

That being said, some of my friends have jetski's, and race them proffesionaly. On the the road, they are normal driver's, not maniac's.Originally posted by fisherman38:

The problem is the owners not the PWC'S. They attract a certain type of person. I am sure the guys that drive them recklessly are just as dangerous on our roadways.

There are a few responsible owners out there, but very few. Most deserve to hit a sand bar. Just Kidding

Amen to that!!! I think I'd rather have a Jet flea (sorry couldn't help it) bounce off me than another boat . . . That's fo sho.

We often boat at Lake Havasu in AZ. You want to see some idiots? Jeez. There are guys there with 100+ MPH 30' tunnels that have never owned or even operated a boat before. I am dead serious. My nephew puts these things back together when they break 'em . . .Originally posted by WAB:
there are some real A-hole boaters out there also.
