...that are close enough to Kerrimuir, Victoria, Australia, 3129, that can make a call for me to a vendor?

Here is a link to their website:

http://www.pearlcraft.com.au/welcome.htm

They are an automotive steering wheel repair/modification business. I am interested in getting the stock steering wheel on my '65 Mustang reduced in diameter. They profile just such a job.

I have emailed them twice, about having them do my wheel but they do not answer. Their website shows that they do work internationally.

I thought it might be effective if someone local called and asked why they do not answer their emails. If it is because they do not want the work, then so be it. I'd just like to know, one way or the other.

Thanks Triton, you must be a popular guy. Your mailbox is full.

There's nothin' like a little local muscle to get the job done. Thanks for stickin' the dagger in.

Is that MY mustang you are modifying?

Boom, Kerrimuir is 5 miles from where I live. Bega is 300 miles. If there is anything i can do to help, like translate :p, let me know. Seriously though, you are in capable hands with Mark but if there is anything i can do to help, don't hesitate to ask.

Yep Aldo, YOUR mustang has gotten a lot of attention lately. Earlier this year it got a front end re-work by the good old hot rod guy. It never did steer/drive nicely, ever since I've had it (31 years) inspite of having spent a chunk of dough on it back in the mid 90's. Now it carves thru the curves like a Ferrari and does not wander on the freeway. This local old timer knew his front end stuff.

Then to celebrate that it now drives like a Mustang should, I had to make it sound like a Mustang should. I followed up the front end work with a civilized dual exhaust system.

The following pictures are what I was hoping to do with my steering wheel. It is just too darn big but I wanted to retain the stock look. The pictures are not synced to scale but the before is 16" and the after is 14". They can even retain the stock color, unlike the sample pics. Also notice that the grip is comfortably fatter than the way too skinny stock wheel.

However, this was the response from PearlCraft. I think I will have to shelve this idea.

Our base price for a rim replacement/ reduction is $1,050 AUD.
Shipping to Vancouver WA is $135 AUD for a parcel up to 5KG (11lb)

Too funny Boomer, where they're based in Bega is actually a cheese-making town and you can smelt it for miles! :p

Maybe the smaller rim is made of AGED cheese?
