any movie projector guys here?

looking at buying a home theater projector, need to know what to look for and what to stay away from for about 2Gs. What is the best way to hook it up to a dvd player, do i need a dmi (sp??) input or is component enough?

Whats the length of cable from the projector to the dvd player? What outputs does the dvd player have?

the length of cable will depend on where I have to mount it, either 10 ft away or 23 ft away. My dvd player is a component out toshibs, bu i'll probably get a hd dvd with hdmi outputs. <br /><br />I was set on dlp, but the more I read about it, the more the rainbow effects are scaring me off. I would like to have a 100 inch screen, I think it might be very noticable
