I understand a man needs to make a living.But I think your last statement was in bad taste considering the horrible destruction going on right now in the S/E.People are dying and losing everything they have.I worked briefly for a disaster related co. when my real job got slow w the economy,but when I heard the boss, at the end of a meeting, tell everyone to pray for a hurricane I realized I did not need the money that bad.I could not work there anymore.I am all for helping those in need, but im not going to wish for others misfortune so I can make a buck.I have great respect for elec.linemen its a hard,dangerous/hazardous job.We recently had twisters here and I was sure our power would be out for 3 to 5 days after seeing the damage around home.Our power came back on in 27 hrs.Thankyou to all powerline crews everywhere.

Looks like you got your wish. All across the south. Much damage, many lost lives. I imagine there will be a few poles down.

I understand what you mean. I don't think your comment was in bad taste either. Your job is to fix things that mother nature damaged. You were just wishing for an opportunity do more work.

Some people can turn anything around
I just want to be called out when I am on duty.
Also some don't understand what lineman do during storms..leave momma and the kids at home to go work day on end sleep in crappy places and not always the best of food.
My boy was born less than a month before Ike she had to evacuate with a newborn and a 3 year old. While I stayed here to work
So once again I am not wishing harm just a lil more work to put gas in the boat

I guess It was more bad timing,than bad taste.I was watching the developing storms/twisters at the time, you were obviously unaware.And as before I admire you and all the crews that work to restore power,phone,etc.after damage is done.Im sure Ice storms are a favorite to repair.
