any help with an alpha one sterndrive?

I have recently had a impeller problem in which I replaced the impeller and housing and the whole kit. I have had the lower unit off 3 times because I keep getting gear oil leaking out of the small weep hole on the side of L.u. I replace the small o ring on the lower unit where the oil goes up and still have the leak. I can run it, and water comes out great out of that hole, but after I shut it off and the water drains out, here comes the oil again. Not a steady stream but a dip ever 10 sec. or so. Am I missing somthing or is there another seal that needs replacing? Thanks for any help.

After the repair and when the drive is all back together, you should pressure check the drive to make sure everything is sealed. Without actually doing a pressure check, it's just a bunch of WAGS (Wild azz guesses) what is leaking.
Only you can see it.

oh yeah, pressure test, pressure test, pressure test. should hold 15+ psi for 10+ mins while turning driveshaft and shifting fwd, n, rev

the water pump base/seal carrier is sold separatly from the water pump kit, that is assuming this is an alpha one, not a gen II. gen II water pump assembly is completley different from alpha one
