I guess old Sloopy told you fellas! Those PC games are just for us old farts. I play online golf alot. I use Tiger Woods 99, and play several old friends once a week or so. It's the only time I can actually PLAY like Tiger is on the computer. :)

I've read some of your posts Peter, I'd say you have the time. Everyone on this board who posts anything but "help, my power tilt's fallen and it cant get up" has got the time for pc games...THIS is a pc game, of sorts :)

Okay I was caught. I don't play games with my computer because I realy don't enjoy it. Call me unusual but I would much rather be having some downtime surfing/posting on my favorite sites than playing games. Of course that might be because my real life sometimes provide all the excitement I need. Just this past week I broke up 2 fights outside.

Age of Empires (catapults, archers, and cavalry)

Rogue Spear (based on Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six novel)

good diversion. I play online every now and then. very good distraction when need to get my mind on other stuff and its too cold to work on the boat.

Not half as entertaining as the one I saw start today and had to help break up. She was kicking his but too. It all started with him and he may end up with charges. He had heard she had a bad reputation and I guess someone said if you offer her money she will.... so he goes up with a $20 and ends up getting his but kicked.

PFB - did you advise the poor dufus to have his running shoes on next time he tries something like that?! unbelievable hehehe

maybe one day you'll have to open a new forum on "amazing stories during school". there are probably enough people here to get it interesting. i could add some doozies from my wife's 14yrs elementary age teaching. the best ones are from the years when she was in the inner city schools.

i both admire & have pity for you buddy. ;)

Fightbuster....I have enough trouble penitrating the rather thick skulls of my kids, I don't think I would want your job.

My mom seems to have had enough of the great cattle drive as well....But she says she realy likes tutoring.

I guess once you take out the distractions of who's got the best duds, whos the best at whatever and all the other junk and get on a one on one level things get better.

My Grandmother taught 2nd graders and my Mom 12 grd. english then Forgin students. My Granmother seems to have been happier with her job....What I mean to say is the 2nd graders did'nt stress out my Grandmother like the highschoolers did my mom....Not to mention the squabling teachers.

I like:

shogun total war
age of empires
All flying games (except chopper games)
civilazation
alpha centari

I have more but those are my favorites. I will be getting morrowind soon and hope to get a WW11 game like medal of honor and a raceing game.

Gamewood.

derwood, if you play Age of Empires on the zone, I'm 'shoot_bogey' in honor of my shining goal as a golfer. I play Rise of Rome mostly but still have the original.

Re: Any gamers out there?

While in college I played on the play station all the time. Probaly too much, we would race back to the appartment to see who played first (Maddin 2000 football game)

Now I play SimCity3000 some and the Cabelas Big Game Hunter. Thats all I have right now. Thinking about getting a few more games. I like the flight sims.
