Hey guys, I was just wondering if there was anywhere to moor and get some food and drink. I'm assuming there's no where within 5 miles of downtown on the lake shore, but what about on any of the rivers?

Any and all information helpful! Thanks.

Navy Pier...would that work for ya or is merely too "touristy"???

I've been to Chicago many a times and it's long been one fo my favorite cities. I'd love to be able to idle down the Chicago river at sunset on a summers evening. Yep...I'm jealous.

Giving it more thought...if you are able to secure a safe place to tie up, the possibilities are truly endless and making me even more jealous.

Not sure your going to be able to tie off on Navy Pier. Might be able to touch-and-go and let a crewman bring something back to the boat. On the Chicago River there is a ****'s Last Resort and some more upscale ($7 drinks?) kind of a place. Both on the North side of the river right downtown near Marina Tower (giant corn cobs). 1/2 mile from the lake?

No idea. That is the Marina Tower I was referring to. Those slips might be for residents only. I would call them. That upscale place does have tie off room. BTW there is a horrible Steve McQueen movie where the bad guy drives off the Marina Tower parking deck and goes in the river.
