any boaters in east texas

I know its probably a long shot, but I was hoping to find some other east Texas boaters. I frequent lake Tyler, but was thinking of trying a bigger deeper lake because the water in lake tyler is getting very warm and not refreshing to swim or tube in. Thinking about lake Palestine, but every time I have driven over the bridge I often see stumps just barely poking out of the water. Stumps scare the bejeezes out of me. Any suggestions?
