Re: Antique evinrude

The only info is from the tag on the cowling 4443-46303 its suppoed to run and work well but the pull start assym. has been removed and the screws are gone so who knows.I cant even tell you what color it is supposed to be,right now it is blue, original?no year no other numbers,I am looking for year ,hp.,color, shop manuel ect....I went to a site called ARTS antiques but I have not heard back yet.He wants it restored to original for an old wooden launch boat,he's a carpenter so he needs someone to spin the wrenches and do the painting, all show quality stuff. You should SEE the boat!

Re: Antique evinrude

according to the model number you posted your motor is a 1951-52 evinrude 7.5hp outboard. you should be able to buy the shop manual for that motor right here on Iboats.

YOu should do yourself a favor and check out the antique outboard motor club's website: aomci.org
It's really helpful for locating parts for the old ones.:)
You might be able to talk someone into fixing you up with a parts manual, too. Best to have part numbers when ordering parts, or sometimes they'll give you a hard time.

The guys on the aomci board can also tell/show you the correct factory color, if you want to repaint it to factory colors.
