I posted earlier about my Volvo possibly having a clutch problem.

Don S mentioned the antisiphon valve or fuel pickup possibly being the problem.

1. Is the antisiphon valve located where the hose goes into the tank?

Boat is a 97 Glastron, 5.7 Volvo Penta.

2. Where is the gas tank, under the rear floor area?

Thanks,

Brad

Re: Anti siphon valve location?

Yes, and yes. The anti siphon valve is the barb fitting on the top of the tank, it is connected to the fitting that the feed tube is attached to(the one that picks up fuel from inside the tank. When you take the barb off the feed tube fitting it should have a little metal ball bearing in there that closes off the passage until pressure is applied.

Make sure you have battery disconnected and use no power tools when you are working on those fuel issues.

The anti syphone valve should be at the top of the tank where the rubber line hooks on. You can find the tank by tracing the line back from the fuel pump or forward from where you put in the gas
