Anti siphon ball gets stuck, pls help! Volvo 4.3 GL 1999

I have huge problem, i have replaced 4 fuel pumps till now, but after we get the pump out of the engine and set it directly it runs perfect, than we find out that the anti siphon in the fuel tenk gets stuck any one have this same problem and solution maybe? How can i lubricate or somethinbg else? So pls if any one know something pls help me.
Regal 2150 LSC with volvo penta 4.3 GL (carburators)

Have you tried replacing the antisyphon valve? The fitting it attaches to is usually removable. That's the pickup. There might be something wrong with that.

the solution is to buy a new one.. they cost like $10..

and do you think now that all your fuel pump replacements were really just a bad anti-siphon valve all along?

Instead of throwing new pumps and other parts at a suspected problem, try testing the fuel system like this. http://forums.iboats.com/showthread.php?t=167561

For testing purposes, you can remove the anti siphon and insert a threaded nipple to test to be certain your valve is defective....if defective purchase a replacement....
